An armed gunman got away with cash Monday from a Mesa fast-food restaurant.
According to Mesa police, the robber was described as a black male, 20 to 30 years old, between 5 feet, 7 inches and 5 feet, 8 inches, 170 to 180 pounds. He was wearing a black jacket with a hood and black cargo pants.
Police said the man walked into the Jack-in-the-Box at 1860 W. Southern Ave. about 6:40 p.m. and demanded cash.
He left on foot, police said.

I live right next door to where this happened and to all you people out there that knock down the Mesa PD you should really pay attention to what they do.
Last night at this time I was walking my dog; the ghetto bird, and two Police cars were all over me, they saw I was not the suspect so they told me what was up and to call Police if I saw the man. I was wearing a dark blue Yankees sweatshirt, and had the hoodie up and my hair pulled back. They did not harrass me, nor did they treat me with disrespect and they could have as I looked pretty ghetto in what I was wearing.
They then drove through the parking lot where I live, one Police car after the other, they were all over the place the rest of the night looking for this man. They did a great job even if they did not catch the moron that robs a Jack in the Box, they were looking out for the neighborhood, and making sure they did not miss anything. They did their job, and some.
Thank you for you sharing your experience. I am the proud wife a Police officer.
Again, Thank you.
