An unidentified man robbed a credit union inside of a Tempe Wal-Mart early Saturday morning, according to Tempe police.
The suspect, who was wearing a beanie over his eyes, told the teller to give him money from the register, said Tempe police spokesman Charles Cobbs.
“During the robbery, he held one of his hands over his mouth,” Cobbs said.
The teller complied and the suspect was able to escape with an unknown amount of cash from the Elliot and Priest roads Desert Schools credit union location, Cobbs said. Police do not know if the man was armed and have not released any surveillance photos.
