Two Phoenix restaurant employees were robbed and kidnapped early Saturday morning by five men wearing masks, police say.
Three of the suspects entered the Los Alamos restaurant, located near the intersection of 30th Street and Bell Road, at 9:15 a.m. and forced one of men into their tan Chevy Blazer, according to Phoenix police Lt. John Stallings. The other victim was forced to take his own truck to his home while the suspect’s vehicle followed them.
The suspects then tied up both victims and burglarized the home, Stallings said. After the suspects fled, the victims were able to free themselves and walk back to the restaurant. On the way, the victim found his stolen vehicle parked near the intersection of Cave Creek Road and Union Hills Drive, Stallings said.
A witness reportedly saw a suspect leave the stolen truck at the Phoenix intersection and immediately enter a white sedan, Stallings said.
The victims told police they did not recognize the masked men and could not identify their voices. At this time, police are still struggling to find a detailed description of the suspects.

An early-morning fall into a swimming pool led to the weekend arrest of a man by Tempe police.
Jonathan Tobin, 21, was taken into custody shortly before 5 a.m. Saturday. At the time, he was dripping wet and shirtless while wearing inside-out jeans and two towels.
Authorities said Tobin got the towels – and got wet - by unlawfully entering a residence in the 1200 block of West 11th Street. He allegedly fell into the pool there, and then stole some towels
After Tobin left, police found him nearby at 11th Street and Margo Drive and arrested him. He was taken to Tempe City Jail and booked for felony residential trespass plus misdemeanors of theft and criminal damage.
Authorities said Tobin was extremely uncooperative with officers during this investigation.
