Police discovered the body of a 20-year-old man early Saturday after authorities were called to check out a vehicle blocking traffic on the I-17 freeway.
The unidentified man was found shot to death inside of his vehicle stopped near the Indian School Road exit on the northbound I-17 at 1:45 a.m., according to Phoenix police spokesman Luis Samudio.
Through an investigation, police believe the man was involved in an altercation between people riding inside of a black SUV.
A suspect in the investigation has not been located, Samudio said in a press release.
