A man suspected of robbing a pharmacy at gunpoint and taking several thousand prescription pills in February, was arrested Friday.
According to Mesa police, James Byron Wycoff, 27, is suspected of taking 1,110 tablets of Oxycotin, 130 tablets of Percocet, and 160 tablets of Roxicet at gunpoint from a Mesa drugstore.
A pharmacist at the drugstore located on 777 W. Southern Ave. in Mesa told police that the suspect jumped the counter and pointed a hand gun at him.
Police received an anonymous tip in September that pointed to Wycoff as the suspect, said Mesa police. Wycoff was identified by witnesses at the scene and admitted to being addicted to alcohol and cocaine.
According to police reports, Wycoff did not admit to the armed robbery, but said that he had been involved in several drug deals.
Wycoff is facing charges of armed robbery.

I’ve never heard of these pills. What are “subscription pills”?

Legalize drugs, let the drug addicts all OD, let the governments tax the legal drugs and this will reduce crime, and put drug dealers completely out of business. Treat it like alcohol, you come drunk you are fired! Drug test on a weekly basis. Those that are drug free will find success in the workplace.

The War on Drugs is NOT going to be won. Remember Prohibition?

So, do you “subscribe” for these pills or do you obtain a “presription” from a doctor for them?????

I wish people would wait for this guy to be found guilty before they chant the sick comments about over doseing but there are some sad people that can onlly enjoy life if they believe someone is more miserable than them. Sorry for his family regardless of whether or not he did this crime.
