A multiple vehicle collision closed lanes on the westbound Loop 202 near Cooper Road on the Santan Freeway Friday afternoon.
According to the Department of Public Safety, the incident closed roads for at least two hours. Drivers are advised to use surface roads; traffic is being directed off the westbound Loop 202 at Cooper Road and back on at McQueen Road.
DPS officials said one victim died and two others were transported to local hospitals with injuries. The accident occured about 3:46 p.m.
