Five daytime residential burglaries in the Gilbert area have been tied to a team of four teenagers, police say. Four of the burglaries were performed on the same day within hours of each other.

According to Gilbert Police Sgt. Mark Marino, one of the men, known only as “Austin,” has not been arrested. Of the three remaining suspects, two were detained by Gilbert police on Sept. 8 and one on Wednesday, Sept. 24.

During two of the burglaries, the homeowners returned while the suspects were still inside. One woman was forced into her closet at gunpoint in the first burglary on Aug. 28, allowing the remaining suspects to escape.

Three other burglaries of different homes occurred within hours of each other in the woman’s neighborhood near the intersection of Val Vista Drive and Elliot Road, Marino said.

In the fourth burglary, a man discovered the suspects in his home before 5:30 p.m. but was able to escape without being harmed.

On Sept. 8, the men struck again in a neighborhood less than three miles away from the initial burglaries in a neighborhood near Lindsay and Guadalupe roads , Marino said.

After an investigation of the crime scene, Marino said Gilbert authorities were able to track down two of the suspects on the day of the fifth burglary: 19-year-old Michael Gonzalez and 18-year-old Isaiah Martinez.

19-year-old Eduardo Campuzano was arrested on Sept. 24, Marino said.

Police are still searching for “Austin” and would like anyone with information to contact Gilbert police or Silent Witness.

come try breaking into my house punks, I have 2 large dogs and a pistol for your A$$

  • Toad Mule says:

Line them up and shoot them. Violating someone’s home by breaking into it is one of the lowest things a “human” can do, not to mention using violence against a resident. SCUMBAGS!

  • ExMesa Teacher says:

What human trash these punks are. We need strict, severe laws like Singapore. Take these jerks out and cane the living daylights out of them. Then, in the grand Saudi tradition, cut their hands off. I’m sick of people like this ruining life for the rest of us.

What a waste of air! I’m sure their parents are so proud. Lock them up and throw away the keys!!

  • Loser says:

Why is Campuzano hanging out with those greasy wetbacks? Break into my house… I have a gun in most rooms and in my truck. If I come home and see some scummy spics in my house, they are all dead, period.

  • Gilbert Resident says:

    I’m with you, ExMesa Teacher!

  • Dan says:

punks and drug addicts… i hope they don’t let them off easy because they’re young… although sending these kids off to prison will most certainly turn them into complete human waste products.

For the record………….Austin was not involved. his mother took him in to the police station and was questioned and released. Not involved at all.
