A Gilbert home was evacuated by authorities Tuesday afternoon after a driver lost control of his ATV and collided into a gas meter.
The driver was driving his ATV through the area near Penrose Drive and Canyon Creek Drive when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a gas meter, said Gilbert police.
The home was temporarily evacuated while Southwest Gas repaired the resulting gas leak. The driver was thrown off the vehicle in the collision but received only minor injuries, according to police reports.
