A purse-snatching victim chased the suspect down Monday afternoon and held him inside of a grocery store until help could arrive, police say.
The victim was shopping at Fry’s Food and Drug on the intersection of Warner and Cooper roads at 1:40 p.m. when she spotted Taylor Kahus-Saccio, 22, grab her purse from her shopping cart, according to Gilbert police spokesman Sgt. Mark Marino.
Kahus-Saccio dropped the purse as soon as the woman began to chase him, Marino said.
The woman continued the chase and caught Kahus-Saccio. She held him down until store employees could assist her, Marino said.
Kahus-Saccio was charged with two counts of theft, Marino said, and booked into Maricopa County’s 4th Avenue jail.

….what a jerk off
She’s lucky she didn’t get hurt.
No Oliver Taylor Kahus-Saccio is lucky the gal didn’t beat him silly, and I wish she had. The silliness of Let the Bad guy have it, don’t resist and all the rest are just that-silly. Believe what you will, we have all seen the disclaimer on TV, but you are MORE likely to be hurt by cooperating. A women should carry at least a .38/9 mm. I carry a .45.
9-1-1 is for later. Call your lawyer first. When his fellows in prison find out Kahus-Saccio was nailed by a women he will be one. We call that justice.
RobertG–
How come you know so much about it? I guess that is what happened
to you, right. Experience is the best teacher!! Sure, tough guy.
Wonder if this guy will look good in “pink underware”. Might have to wear his shorts backwards.
NO piece of property is worth getting hurt over. She was lucky or maybe knows some self defense. This goes for any man as well. And,,, carry a gun? Yea right and get it taken away from you and used on YOU.
To bad she didnt have a gun and just finished him off. Savings on my tax dollar is always a good thing when it comes to scum bags and their blood sucking of our economy. Don’t feel sorry for him either. Drugs, booze and being poor are not excuses for hurting others. Let me understand all you scum bags. If you don’t hold a job and choose to steal ten times and get caught once, the profit is 90%. On top of that the victim, his family, the cops that arrested you, the insurance companies share holders and their employees and the people that are writing, editing, and reading this article are going to cover the cost of you to have three meals and a cot. Don’t forget the cable, weights, and donated magazines. Thanks America……Plus you get a dental plan….. Awesome.
If RobertG had taken the concealed carry weapon training class and obtained his permit he would know that you can’t use physical force or a weapon to defend property. You can only use force to defend yourself or innocent bystanders. The law allows this woman to be arrested herself for assaulting the purse snatcher and unlawfull restraint for sitting on him.
And NO I don’t agree with that but that is the way the law in AZ is.
If you are going to carry any kind of weapon please take the concealed carry weapon training class. It will keep you out of prison and lawsuits.
RockAZ - You make some great points, but unless she used some type of excessive force, there are no issues with her detaining this individual.
This could have easily taken a dangerous turn, fortunately, no one was hurt.
Purse snatcher victims have bigger balls than purse snatchers
URnuts……Do what she did anywhere in Mesa AZ and see if one of their Mormon-Mexican Mafia cops doesn’t arrest you….especially if you are white and non-Mormon. Sitting on the suspect is excessive force because you can’t use any kind of force to protect property. He had already taken her purse and was running away, therefore he was not a threat to her and it isn’t self defense. There are too many Mesa City Court judges from oppressed races, such as Africans, Hispanics and Asians that are not elected but appointed and willing to judge their oppressors that they consider to be white americans.
The only solution to this problem is to elect ALL judges in the legal system. NONE should ever be appointed. When they are obviously racists and/or practice their personal or religious beliefs in the courtroom instead of following the law as sworn to do, or willfully discriminate in the courtroom it is nearly impossible to oust them. If they were elected the next election would get rid of them.

My first thought was “Why do some women walk away from their purses? ” Anyone can slip a hand in an take the wallet or the purse
