Yes there was a difference in maturity level from having children in my early twenties and then having another set in my early thirties. But that doesn't change the fact of knowing the wrong and right ways of parenting. I'm sure you will find plenty of gramatical errors with my posting but thats o.k. Going to college doesn't make you a better parent either. I will fully agree that age has nothing to do with it. It is all how mature you really are. I myself am a young mother. I had my first child at 19. I am now 28 and have 4 children. I love my children with all my heart and do not think any of my kids are a mistake. With each child I have learned something new and bettered myself. My issue is with the comment about people having kids and being single and making a statement thats its not ok to not be with the dad. I am a single mother. My children do see their dad but we are not together. I do not believe that you have to be with a man to have a child. There are many situations where it is not healthy for yourself or the children to stay in a relationship. You need to keep the wellbeing of yourself and your children in mind at all times. I am now 34 and have 5 children. There is no difference between now with my 6 month and 21 month old child and when I had my my first three at ages 19, 21, and 24. There are bad parents of every age. Children are being abused and tortured at the hands of young parents, middle age parents and grandparents. Society is getting worse and worse and unfortunately many children are suffering because of it. There are some people who are just not meant to be parents. To the previous poster.
