A 21-year-old gang member drove himself to a Mesa hospital Wednesday night after he was shot in the wrist.
Police said they were called out to Banner Baywood Medical Center just before 9 p.m. after the man showed up at the hospital with a gunshot wound.
The man told police he had been shot in the area of Broadway Road and 72 Street.
The man knew the gunmen, police said, and two suspects were located and taken in for questioning. Two handguns were also recovered.
The East Valley Gang and Criminal Information Fusion Center helped with the investigation, which is ongoing.

Drove himself to the hospital? Maybe this guy just figured out that all gang membership gets you is shot and abandoned. If only he could be this self-reliant in life instead of relying on a pack of losers to tell him what color bandana to wear.
