A Mesa woman was shocked Saturday when a stranger walked into her apartment and sat down on her couch.
According to court records, police arrested Angel John Osif, 24, of Mesa, Saturday about 6:10 p.m. on suspicion of criminal trespassing.
Court records say Osif was passed out on a woman’s couch, when police officers arrived to her home in the 800 block of E. Brown Road. When the man woke up, he was argumentative and confrontational and did not know where he was, court records say.
The man admitted to police he didn’t know where he was or why he was in someone else’s apartment, court records say. He also said he had been drinking and had just gotten out of jail three days prior for weapons offenses.

If it were my place, the coroner would have arrived next.
AHHH the sound of a good sturdy baseball bat hitting one’s head sounds good. But then again, he could have just been dying of heat exhaustion? Either way, walk into my house, sit on my couch, ha! PING!
Wow felix, you’re a tough guy. Now I don’t know if my lifelong dream is to meet Chuck Norris, or you!
Once again the Mesa PD is asleep at the wheel! We’ve grown used to drive by shootings and random gunfire, but this must stop! Random furniture sittings are just the tip of the iceberg! Pretty soon we’ll have random channel changing, random lawn mowing, and even (gasp) random blender use! Soon our children will be involved in this activity! Do something Gascon! Do something NOW!
senseman - don’t know if you are being facetious or ???? I would be just a little frightened if I found a total stranger in my home. Then again, I don’t leave my doors unlocked at any time - whether I’m home or not. I have found through experience that there are just too many thieves & psychos out there, and you can NEVER be too careful.
