Armed robbery suspects still at large

Mesa police are looking for two suspects who demanded more money at gunpoint from a woman who had given them cash for gas.

The armed robbery attempt occurred Thursday morning at a home near Broadway Road and Center Street, when the victim opened the door to a man and a woman known as “Christina” and “Billy.” According to police, the victim knew the male suspect because he had been incarcerated with her brother.

Both suspects entered the woman’s home and asked for gas money, police reports said. The victim gave them a small amount of money but the suspect “Billy” pulled out a gun, told her to get in the car, and demanded more money, police said.The victim told both suspects she had no more money, and the two fled in a gray, four-door Pontiac Grand AM, police said.

Police reports said the female suspect is believed to live in a trailer near Stapley Drive and Main Street
