Mesa police were called Tuesday morning to a suspected illegal immigrant drop house containing about 22 people.
The drop house was loacted in the 500 block of S. Visalia, near Dobson and Broadway roads, said Mesa police spokeswoman detective Diana Tapia.
Tapia said the people inside the home were believed to have been smuggled, so police turned the case over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

“Believed to have been smuggled”…do you mean these people were randomly picked up off the street in Nogales, blindfolded, handcuffed and forced into a van and taken across the US border against their will? Who wrote this piece of “yellow journalism”? These “ILLEGAL ALIENS” payed a $1000 or more to snuck into the US. But, who ever wrote this article makes them sound like they were ‘VICTIMS’ instead of “CRIMINALS”. In case the writer doesn’t know it. It finally seems that the local agencies are doing what what only Sheriff Joe had the sand to do just a short while ago. Kudos to our local agencies. And “To hell” with the federal govt. if their only answer is amnesty! The people should revolt if the illegals get amnesty from the next president. Maybe we should make that clear, now!
