At 2 a.m. Tuesday, two men with handguns robbed the Wal-Mart at 1916 S. Lindsay Road in Mesa. A clerk got a vehicle description and reported it to police after the men fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. A Mesa police air unit found a vehicle matching the description in the neighborhood, with occupants acting as if they were lost. After the driver dropped off the passenger, officers spoke with the driver who made incriminating statements. Probable cause was established and police arrested the driver, 27-year-old Carlos Delgadillo, after he confessed. The second individual remains at large.

Probably an illegal….
Can anyone tell me where there is a Wal-Mart Super Center on Lindsay Rd. ?
Did you mean to say “Neighborhood Market ” or do you not know what your talking about.
Walmart needs to get it’s act together.
Their failure to provide their own security, in effect transfers that cost to the citizens of Mesa by requiring Mesa Police Dept to constantly process petty shoplifting cases that Walmart should have avoided in the first case. Likewise, had uniformed Walmart security been visible at the store, would the robbers even have attempted the robbery detailed in this story?
Cheers!
COULD BE WHITE TRASH ALSO, I SEE OUR BLOW HARD SHERIFF HAS BRAIN WASHED SOME OF YOU REAL GOOD.
FYI…That’s a Wal Mart marketplace, not a SuperCenter.
yeah, right, Tom…..Carlos Delgadillo is a white trash name…..don’t forget, this was Mesacan.
Go Sheriff Joe!!!
“COULD BE WHITE TRASH ALSO, I SEE OUR BLOW HARD SHERIFF HAS BRAIN WASHED SOME OF YOU REAL GOOD” Ouch, that hurts to read! How about writing … “Could also be white trash …. has brain washed some of you well”
WOW…the Mesa Police officers killed two birds with one stone…captured a perp and and illega alien to boot. The reason he confessed was because he knew that the Mesa Police would not press charges against him if he said he was an ‘ILLEGAL ALIEN” and just turn him over to I.C.E. to be deported. These are the new ‘SANCTUARY-LITE” guidelines approved by the Mesa Mayor Scott Smith, the new Mesa City Council and our own Mesa Police Chief George “brown people have rights too” Gascon. Congratulations Mesa PD….another job well done………….lmao….rotf.
Smart! Rob a business with 500 witnesses! High intellect there!
First, 1500 bucks cash is not petty theft. Second, it was an armed robbery. Third, who said it was an illegal? People are reading all kinds of stupid things into this article. One other thing, there wasn’t 500 witnesses since the robbery occured at 2 AM, sheesh…..
I am glad some one noticed, and reported the vehicle. throw the book at this idiot.
Why arrest people who rob wal-mart? If you work or shop there, expect to be a crime victim.
To all you idiots who posted comments to thier own version of what was published. (mac, tom, ciskokid and DON) READ THE STORY. Where does it say “petty cash’, “illegal alien confession” or “Walmart SUPERCENTER” . You IDIOTS that posted these comments, get off you soap box. I agree that Walmart needs to have security at their smaller Neighborhood Markets. They dont even have a greeter. From going out the door with carts of food to beer runs, the small stores have become daily shoplifting venues. But Auntflo, everybody needs to work and since I work for Walmart, I hope YOU become a victim of a crime too.
Ouchie!!
The score is even. Aunt Flo 1 point. Andyman 1 point.
