A 58-year-old man was killed by a recycling truck early Saturday in what police believe was a “tragic accident.”
Phoenix police spokesman Sgt. Andy Hill said the man, who has not yet been identified, was struck by a large “front end loader” recycling truck at 9 a.m. and later died at the scene.
Another unidentified man was also hit at the recycling plant at 3210 S. 19th Avenue but only suffered non-life threating injuries.
Police are investigating the incident, but believe it was an accident and no charges have been made.
No other details have been released about the incident.

What was this man doing out in the street in front of the recycling truck anyway? That’s a dumb and crazy thing to do - and his “dumbness” and “crazness” made him DEAD.

The story implies that both incidents occured at the recycling center but does not give enough information to picture how they happened.

To the comment above. If you take the time to read the entire “short article” about this man who lost his life after he was hit by a recycling truck, you would of read that he was not hit while he was on the street. It occurred at a recycling plant. This is any case was not just a man messing around in a street. You should probably re-read any article before you start making judgements on anyone especially when a man who was at a recyling plant (probably at work) who has passed. So, in this case, this would make yourself the one with the “dumbness” and craziness” mind. Know your facts “Sharon” before you start saying that’s why he is DEAD!!!!

This man did NOT die of his “dumbness” or “crazness”. This man died tragically doing his job! If you don’t know the whole story,PLEASE do NOT respond to an article that does not state all the facts.

SM, don’t worry about that Sharon person…..she is drama ridden. How naive could someone be to write something like that?
I’m very sorry for your loss. It was a tragic accident, but with the details you gave me the responsible party needs to be held accountable. This accident could have been avoided and your family member would still be here.
These type of companies need to stop cutting corners to safe a few bucks. It’s very irritating and annoying like that Sharon person.
