Chandler police are searching for a man they say stabbed another during a fight early Friday morning in the 2400 block of East Peach Tree Drive.
Acting on a tip, Chandler police SWAT team members and a canine unit searched a room at Intown Suites, 15424 S 50th St., at 6 a.m. Friday. They were looking for Ivan M. Gallardo of Mesa. Police evacuated rooms around the one they were told Gallardo was staying in. He wasn’t in the room and police don’t know his whereabouts.
Gallardo, 27, allegedly stabbed another man at 1:15 a.m. Friday in what police said was a fight over one of the men’s girlfriend. She was not at the scene of the fight. Police didn’t release her name or that of the victim, but said he sustained non-life threatening injuries.
Chandler police said Gallardo is 6 feet 3 inches tall, weighs 240 pounds, and has a shaved head and goatee. They said he is considered armed and dangerous.
