Teenager reports burglary to cover-up party

An 18-year-old girl reported a burglary to Gilbert police early Sunday in order to cover up a house party she hosted at her parent’s home Saturday evening in Queen Creek without their permission.
The girl, Melissa Burns, reported that a large number of her family’s belongings were stolen from the home at the 3800 block of E. Augusta Avenue, near the intersection of Riggs and Recker Roads, said Sgt. Mark Marino of Gilbert police.
Police arrived at the home and discovered that a television had been stolen and there was a large amount of property damage to the home, Marino said.
After further investigation, police found that a party was held at the residence and the burglary call tried to cover up the celebration.
Burns may be charged with filing a false police report, Marino said.

Who is that stupid? Even when I was a teenager, I’d never think to do something that ridiculous. Sorry folks. I’m all out of sympathy for idiots. This girl’s dumb as a box o’ rocks.

I was there saturday as well, the entire time and even helped clean up after the party. Didn’t think she would get away with it. “Yes officer they broke into my house stole nothing then left beer and 300 different sets of footprints” come on melissa haven’t you seen csi. Hate to say I told you so. Actual events= drunk guys says something to another drunk 3 drunk guys wanna beat other guy up now. There are about 80 people at this party a riot erupts everyone is fighting everyone. The damage in the home caused by the fights that broke out. there was also blood on some walls and floors.

additionally no TV’s were stolen, if she filed that in the report that means she had someone take it to help out her weak story. Like I said I was there for everything. I was one of the last people out of that house after helping her clean up glass and broken marble statues and what not, nevermind picking up all the red dixie cups. All TV’s were there. NOTHING was stolen atleast nothing as big as a TV, believe me you would see someone walking out with one of the monster plasma TV’s she had. 50″ and bigger all of them
