Mesa police investigate home invasion

Mesa police early Tuesday morning investigated a home invasion in the 1500 block of west Keating Avenue that happened some time Monday night.

At 1:10 a.m., officers found the victim, his roommate and the roommate’s father in the home. The victim said he was home alone when he heard a faint knock on the front door. The victim said he cracked the front door open and saw a large man wearing a ski mask and holding a hand gun. The victim tried to shut the door, but the man forced it open.

There were two other men wearing bandanas over their faces and carrying hand guns. The first man stuck his gun in the victim’s mouth and asked for money. The victim first said he had no money and the first man shoved him into a wall. The victim told the men about a safe in his roommate’s room and led them to it.

The men told the victim to open it, but he said he didn’t have the combination. The men held guns on the victim and threaten to shoot him. He then told them about a safe in his room with money in it and led them to it. The men took the safe and a laptop computer from one of the roommate’s rooms, then left the house. The victim thinks all three men had guns.

Police are searching for the men, the first described as 6 foot 4, 300 pounds, wearing black clothing and a ski mask; the others 5-7, 190, wearing shorts and a blue bandana; and the third with no height or weight description, wearing a blue bandana.

Good job, Gascon! This is the 4th article today about Mesa’s “lowered crime rate.”

    Care to retract anything?

This is why it’s good to have a little peep hole on your door…very easy to install and only costs a few bucks.

This is ridiculous and will only get worse.

Why is it that when providing a suspect description, the modern day PC journalists can’t bring themselves to listing a skin color or ethnicity? Either list no suspect info, or list complete suspect info in hopes of garnering the publics assistance in identifying the suspects. Pure B.S.

  8. Beverly Says:

    yeah what hacksaw said !
And I too, am so very happy to see crime rate down in Mesa….hahahaha!
