Mesa police said graffiti negatively depicting Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio seen on several buildings will be removed by municipal cleaning crews. The graffiti images located near Main Street in Mesa, depict Arpaio in a stencil, and carry the words “Nazi Joe” or “Voodoo,” sprayed above the image. Authorities would not provide specific addresses of where the graffiti is located. Mesa police said the incident is not being investigated, but the city lead the charge in removing the images.“The city graffiti paint-out crew took care of the graffiti as a matter of routine,” said Det. Christopher Arvayo, a spokesman for Mesa police. “We are not investigating the graffiti itself.”The Sheriff’s Office released the following statement from Arpaio: “Graffiti is a crime. It is offensive to the citizens and the city of Mesa should do something about this.”Intern Stephanie Lough and ABC15 contributed to this report.

Wah! Send in a sweep yourself, Joe! Wittman doesn’t need any protection, forget the warrants, find those miscreants with the spray paint! By the way, their portraits were actually rather flattering, seemed to take off a few pounds….

Better yet, maybe Mayor Scott or some of the Council members have burned out tail lights or head lights. Who knows, maybe, maybe Scott Smith is a closet illegal? Imagine the headlines, after citing the Mayor of Guadalupe!
