July 4th crackdown nets 37 drunken drivers

East Valley police agencies arrested 37 suspected drunken drivers as of Saturday morning as part of a Fourth of July holiday crackdown. In all, 137 people were arrested statewide for DUIs during a two-day effort coordinated by the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety.
Chandler, Mesa, the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, the Arizona Department of Public Safety and and police from the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community were just some of the 33 agencies involved in the crackdown. The effort will continue through Sunday night.

THEIR IS STILL A BUNCH OF IDIOTS WHO THINK THEY WILL NEVER GET CAUGHT BUT GUESS WHAT 137 OF YOU DID YOU THINK THAT THE LAW IS NOT FOR YOU AND YOU CAN DO AS YOU PLEASE WELL GUESS WHAT YOUR PROBLEMS JUST STARTED AND IT WILL BE WITH YOU FOR YEARS NOT DAYS ALL BECAUSE YOU DECIDED TO DRINK AND DRIVE , FIRST THE COURT THE FINES AND CLASSES YOU WILL HAVE TO GO TO AT YOUR OWN EXPENCE AND OF COURSE YOUR INSURANCE RATES WILL JUMP SKY HIGH AND DON’T FORGET THE BREATH TEST FROM A MACHINE EVERYTIME YOU START TO DRIVE AND THIS DEVIOCE IS AT YOUR OWN EXPENCE THE LAST TIME I HEARD YOU HAVE TO GO TO TUSCON TO GET IT AND YOU HAVE TO MAINTAIN IT AS WELL SO TELL ME PEOPLE WAS IT WORTH IT .ONE MORE THING YOU WILL HAVE TO GO TO AA AS WELL .

Floyd, aside from the grammar issues, I seriously think you have some pent up issues which need to be checked on. They do have anger management courses. Hey I had a DUI several years ago and does that make me a bad person or a drunk? Oh sorry we have to live in Floyd’s perfect world.

There are still a bunch of idiots who think they will never get caught, but guess what 137 of you did. Did you think that the law was not for you and you can do as you please? Well guess what, your problems have just started and it will be with you for years, not days. All because you decided to drink and drive. First the court fines and classes, the classes you will have to go to at your own expense, then your insurance rates will jump sky high and don’t forget the breath test from a machine every time you drive. This device is at your own expense and last I heard, you have to go to Tucson to get it and you must maintain it. So tell me, people, was it worth it? One more thing, you’ll have to go to AA as well.
