Man rips up $637 after argument with sister

A sibling fight led to the destruction of $637 Monday after a man ripped up an envelope filled with the cash and threw it into a storm drain.
According to David Ramer of Chandler police, the man, 43-year-old Jack Zabaneh, started a fight with his sister, 26-year-old Joesphine Lopez, in the parking lot of a Wells Fargo bank on the corner of Gilbert and Chandler Heights Roads at 6:21 p.m.
Ramer said the fight started after Lopez disagreed with Zabaneh about how he was going to spend the money, which he receives from social security.  Zabaneh receives the money because of a diminished mental capacity, Ramer said.
Zabaneh reportedly grabbed the money from his sister’s hand, ripped it into pieces and stuffed it down a storm drain in the Wells Fargo parking lot.
Both were charged with disorderly conduct, Ramer said.  He said the siblings live together in Chandler.

“Zabaneh receives the money because of a diminished mental capacity” I’d say the word “reduced” is a major stretch. It should be “no” … Its really refreshing too to see our goverment spending our SS money on such deserving citizens.
