What Mesa police believed was a family fight turned out to be a one-man incident. Police responded to what they were told was a family fight at 9:30 p.m. Monday in the 300 block of east Fifth Avenue. It was reported that a male and female were arguing and things were being broken inside. Officers found a 21 year-old man inside the apartment alone. He was arguing with himself and changed the pitch of his voice as he acted out each part. He was destroying the inside of the apartment. He had broken the front window of the apartment and the officers tried to get him to calm down and come out. A Terros Crisis Team responded to the scene. The team determined that the man was a danger to himself and they obtained a mental health pick-up order. Mesa SWAT officers responded and they were able to take the subject into custody.

sounds like someone on meth. so sad that these young kids have so many mental issues. do the parents just give up on them after they turn 18? i hope he can get the some good help and takes it .
Sounds like he was a little “Pyscho” (I know, pretty obvious comment).
You’re joking, right? SWAT? They called SWAT for this?
This article lacks some important dimensions, like time he spent inside the house and so forth. But, it leaves me with this:
Am I the only one disturbed by the trend of the continuous use of SWAT and heavy-handed tactics? Unless it’s a traffic ticket or the like, it seems all calls now involve SWAT.
The gumshoe is being replaced by the jackboot.
who won the argument?
Isn’t in obvious: The agreed to disagree.
Don’t you just LOVE it when a story like this is published but the person’s name isn’t published? If it’s worth putting in the newspaper, it’s worth publishing the person’s name. He is a grown man. It might keep someone daughter from getting involved with this nutcase for REAL sometime.
