Scottsdale police are investigating a single vehicle accident that occurred around 12:30 a.m. Monday.The driver of a motorcycle eastbound on Mountain View Road from Scottsdale Road lost control and struck the median. The rider sustained life threatening injuries and was transported to Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn hospital.
Police say the rider was traveling at a high rate of speed and that alcohol impairment and speed are considered factors. The rider’s identity hasn’t bee released.
Mountain View from Scottsdale to Hayden Road, and Miller Road at Mountain View are closed for an investigation. The road is expected to be open again by 8 a.m. Monday.
