A two-car crash at a Gilbert intersection sent two teens to the hospital Tuesday evening.
The collision occurred at Val Vista Drive and Warner Road just after 5 p.m. when a car ran a red light and smashed into a pickup truck, police said.
A passenger in the car, Elena Schmeiser, 19, had to be extricated and was airlifted to Scottsdale Osborn hospital. The driver, Jedidiah Johnson, 19, was also taken to the hopsital. Their injuries were not life-threatening, police said.
The driver of the truck was not injured
