Police are searching for more information in a Mesa graduation party fight Saturday where a man was hit in the head with a gun and a woman had a gun pointed at her face. Police said the aggravated assault occurred in the 600 block of N. Elm about 11:45 p.m. A police helicopter flew over the scene and spotted people running away, but when officers arrived they were told there was no one with a gun.
Later on, some of the party-goers told another officer about the aggravated assaults and said they occurred after five unknown men had showed up at the party uninvited.
Police said they couldn’t locate the man who was hit with the gun and were given very little information about the suspects.
