4 children burned in Lake Pleasant boat fire

Four children were burned Saturday at Lake Pleasant in a boat fire that was sparked by starting the engine, police say.
Two children were flown by helicopter to area hospitals and the other two by ambulance, according to Maricopa County sheriff’s office spokeswoman Lindsay Smith. The children are expected to survive and all received the burns on their lower body, Smith said.
Police are in the area investigating the accident.
