A group of firefighters confronted a suspected thief Monday as he was breaking into a vehicle parked at a Mesa Fire Station.
Police arrested Leo Henry Garske, 44, at the station, located at 1340 W. University Drive, and booked him into jail on suspicion of burglary.
Garske is suspected of taking shoes, check stubs and personal paperwork out of a firefighter’s vehicle and throwing them onto the ground.
The firefighters held the man until police arrive.
