A drive to support fallen law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty will come to Arizona during the Diamondbacks baseball game Tuesday night.
“Drive to Remember,” a nonprofit organization, will begin its 4,000 mile tour at British Columbia, Canada and end in Washington, D.C. on May 13th at the Peace Officers Memorial to celebrate National Police Week.
“Drive to Remember” will arrive at Chase Field in Phoenix during a baseball game dedicated to “Law Enforcement Appreciation Night,” an event sponsored by the Taser Foundation for Fallen Officers, the Arizona Fraternal Order of Police, and the Arizona Diamondbacks, May 6, 2008 at 3:30 p.m.
The tribute features a Hummer H3, nicknamed “Guardian One”, and covered with the names of officers killed in the line of duty in 2007. “Guardian One” is escorted by many other vehicles. “Guardian One” will be displayed at Chase Plaza during the baseball game. A pre-dedication ceremony led by five Arizona families of law enforcement officers who lost their lives in the line of duty last year will also be included in the event.

Wow…just reading that gave me goosebumps. Excellent way to pay tribute. “Guardian One”…what a fitting name.
