An older model Ford pickup truck carrying at least 50 to 60 people crashed around 5:30 a.m. Sunday, leaving four people dead. After the truck rolled over, 20 to 30 fled the scene, including the driver, and have not been found, police say.
Pinal County sheriff’s office spokeswoman Vanessa White said the truck did not strike any other vehicles as it crashed in a remote area just south of Arizona City near the intersection of Sagittarius and Aries Drives.
No identities have been released for the people riding in the truck, White said. The four fatalities, all males, were found dead on the scene, while 18 others were flown to Tucson and Phoenix area hospitals and nine were taken by ambulance for their injuries.
White says the investigators believe alcohol, speed and inattention could all be possible factors in the crash. Police are also looking into the immigration status of the group.

ya think the “immigration STATUS’” might be in question…Ya right
what’s this gonna cost the taxpeyers??? 12,000.00 for each helicopter ride not to mention the cost of buriel…I bet they they try to blame Sheriff Arpaio for this one too…..
How many were in the truck ? Was it 50 or 31 or 60, better yet make up your own story because you don’t have a clue to the facts and don’t have the quality staff to get the story right before you print.
I hope the sheriff does his job with the one brought to Maricopa County hospitals.
50-60 people? LOOKING inti immigration status? Haha….come on….
i can tell you their immigration status- illegal!
Are you kidding me? 50-60 packed into a truck and the immigration status isn’t obvious? Now we have 20-30 illegals running around, looking for someone to take them in or breaking into places to find shelter and money. Lovely.
I wonder what type of “older model” pick-up truck is able to carry that many people. 50-60 is a lot. Imagine breathing in each other`s breath and odor. A man`s cheek leaning on yours, its quite disgusting. I’m sure their ride would be more pleasant if there were more women in there.
These “people” are endangering the lives of everyone on the roads. When is my government going to stand up & stop this? Oh, that’s right… NEVER.
