As Mesa Fire responded to a house fire near the corner of Southern Ave. and Sossaman Road early Saturday, they discovered a male who possibly committed suicide.
According to Det. Chris Arvayo, the person’s identity is not yet known. An investigation shows that the victim may have started the fire and later shot himself.
A neighbor called Mesa Fire around 12:30 a.m. to report the blaze at 1149 S. Palo Verde St.
