A 22-year-old woman died after driving her car into a parked fire truck on Tuesday.
Nicole Ward’s 2006 Toyota Scion struck a ladder truck of the Glendale Fire Department on Greenway Road near 43rd Avenue, Phoenix officials said.
The truck was parked in the westbound curb lane, but faced oncoming traffic, while firefighters responded to a medical call. The truck had its emergency lights activated, authorities said.
