Fugitive’s brother sentenced

The brother of a man wanted for killing an armored guard in a brazen 2004 robbery outside an Ahwatukee Foothills theater was sentenced Monday to three years probation for giving false information to authorities investigating the case.
David J. Brown was was originally charged with obstruction of justice for tampering with a car belonging to his brother, Derek Brown, but he has since cooperated with authorities in attempting to find the fugitive, court records show.
Derek Brown, is wanted for the Nov. 29, 2004, robbery and shooting death of Robert Palomares.
