A man was robbed of his wallet and cell phone Sunday in Mesa despite the fact that he was taking his child out of the car, police said.
The robbery occurred about 3:50 p.m. at 2343 West Main Street. The victim told police the assailant ran south and got into a black Toyota Camry made in the early to mid 90s.
The victim wasn’t able to give police a detailed description of the suspect. He is described as black, in his early teens wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt. Also, the victim told police the man displayed a gun with a red and green flashing light on top of it.
