A grand jury on Thursday indicted a Chandler man who a teenager whacked with a baseball bat during a burglary.
Thomas Garza, 30, stands accused of felony counts of burglary, aggravated assault on a minor, and three misdemeanor counts of criminal trespass, according to a press release from the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office.
Police say Garza was burglarizing the Mesa home of Michael Six, who hid in his room and called 911.
Garza broke into the room and Six fought him off with the bat.
Police arrested Garza as he fled from the home.
