Phoenix police respond to deadly shooting

A man was found dead Sunday by Phoenix police responding to a call complaining about gun shots in the area. 

According to Sgt. Joel Tranter, the victim was found at 1900 N. 69th Ave. in Phoenix. His name has not been released by authorities, pending notification of next of kin. No description of the victim was available.

It was not known whether there were any witnesses to the deadly shooting.

Police did not release suspect descriptions Sunday, but an investigation was ongoing.
