Mesa police arrested a 49-year-old man on suspicion of raping a woman from whom he was estranged.
According to court documents, David A. Nunez and the woman were drinking at about 12:30 a.m. when he began twisting her breasts and sexually assaulting her.
Nunez was upset that the woman was involved with another man and he wouldn’t let her leave the house.
Nunez admitted to the sexual assault as well as destroying her cell phone and slapping her.
