The three women killed in a Chandler crash have been identified as a mother and her grown daughter and niece.
Isabel Cuevas-Renova, 48; Araceli Renova, 22, both of Phoenix; and Claudia Renova, 23, of Glendale died Saturday after the car in which they were passengers turned in front of a Ford Expedition.
The vehicle’s only survivor was the driver, 27-year-old Veronica Renova of Phoenix.
According to police spokesman Sgt. Rick Griner, Veronica Renova was driving eastbound on Chandler Boulevard when she failed to yield while making a left turn onto McClintock Drive.
Renova’s small four-door sedan was then broadsided by the Expedition, driven by Tiffany Cera, 35, of Chandler.
There is no evidence the collision was caused by impairment or speed, Griner said.
Cuevas-Renova and Araceli Renova were evacuated by helicopter, but pronounced dead at the hospital; Claudia Renova died around 10 p.m.
Veronica Renova and Cera also were injured.
