A close call in traffic turned into a brawl that left one man with a deep cut on his chin and another with a broken nose.
According to a Mesa police summary, Jose Rios Castrejon, 19, cut the face of Juan Barranca with a pair of shears while Robinson Juarez Fuentes, 30, smashed the nose of Daniell Barranca with a battery pack from a portable drill.
The altercation started when Barranca’s vehicle pulled in front of Rios’ work van on Mesa Drive.
Rios followed Barranca to a liquor store at Broadway Road and Mesa Drive and blocked them in.
Rios and Juarez were booked on suspicion of aggravated assault.
