The Chandler Fire Department will be accepting registration for firefighter recruits today, Friday and Saturday at 3550 S. Dobson Road. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or GED and have an EMT-B certification or be enrolled in a course for the certification. A successful recruit will go through an extensive hiring process that includes a written test, oral board test, a five-week, unpaid evaluation program, interviews, medical, background and drug testing and then a 12-week, full-time academy.
