Arpaio seeking officers from other agencies

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio is trying to lure officers from other agencies with a banner at the county jail intake offering them lateral transfers and the opportunity to enforce immigration law. Arpaio has had 160 deputies and detention officers trained by the Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement on federal immigration law.

This will be the shortest recruitment drive in the history of law enforcement. Anyone stupid enough to lateral INTO the Sheriff’s bizarro-world from another agency probably needs another MMPI.
