Three people, including an autistic boy, were injured this afternoon when a vehicle ran a stop sign in east Mesa and collided with another vehicle, police said. All three were being flown to local hospitals, though none
had life-threatening injuries, said Mesa Police Det. Steve Berry.The crash happened a little before 5 p.m. at Sossaman and Pecos roads. The boy with autism was not seriously hurt, but he was unable to tell emergency crews what his injuries were, Berry said. He was taken to a hospital just in case, Berry said. Police were investigating the cause of the crash.
