A 6-year-old nearly drowned in Gilbert Saturday afternoon.When emergency personnel arrived at the home at 1822 E. Spruce Ave. about 4 p.m., the child was breathing but non-responsive, Gilbert firefighters reported. An ambulance rushed the child to Banner Desert hospital for medical care.Further details about the child’s identity and condition weren’t available Saturday night.
