A woman died Monday from injuries she suffered in a collision with an SUV that ran a red light in Mesa. According to a Mesa police summary of the 3:21 p.m. incident, the driver of an eastbound 2004 Ford Explorer ran the red light at Valencia and Broadway Road and broadsided a southbound 1996 Saturn on the passenger side. The driver of the Explorer was uninjured, but the driver of the Saturn, had no vital signs as firefighters extracted her from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at Scottsdale Osborn Healthcare hospital.
