A Chandler man was recently arrested on multiple charges that include trying to cash a Chandler officer’s tuition reimbursement check, according to court records. David Fuentes was arrested Friday night on suspicion of four counts of taking the identity of another person, four counts of forgery and two counts of theft. Fuentes was initially arrested in Chandler on a warrant. But during an interview it was learned that he attempted to cash a stolen check from the Chandler officer, court records say. On July 11, a Chandler officer had been off duty at a Chandler fast food drive through when a vehicle blocked his vehicle, court documents say. A person pointed a weapon at him and demanded his wallet, keys and cell phone. Inside the wallet was the officer’s flat badge and the check.Man
