Funeral arrangements for fallen Phoenix police Officer George Cortez Jr. have been set for Friday morning.Cortez, 23, was gunned down last Friday night after responding to a call at a Phoenix check-cashing store.The funeral will take place at 10 a.m. at the Community Church of Joy, 21000 N. 75th Ave. in Glendale.The burial will follow at Resthaven Park Cemetery, 6290 W. Northern in Glendale.Visitation for the public will take place between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Thursday at Heritage Mortuary, 6830 W. Thunderbird Road in Glendale.
