The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Army have agreed to be in cahoots when recruiting deputies.On Wednesday, the U.S. Army Recruiting Command and the sheriff’s office will sign an agreement to provide priority hiring to qualified soldiers who are participating in the Army’s Partnership for Youth Success Program. The youth success program is a partnership between the Army and a section of United States corporations and public agencies. The idea is to help the Army retain people who want to serve in the Army but also want to secure a future after the Army.As part of the program with the sheriff’s office those recruited sign an agreement to work for the sheriff’s office after serving with the Army.
