Scottsdale Man Charged in Bribery Case

June 27th, 2007, 9:33 am · Post a Comment · posted by Gary Grado

Authorities on Monday arrested a Scottsdale man who was indicted in May on charges of bribing a Chandler police officer and harrassing public officials. Gregg L. Wolfe, a principal in the Chandler non-profit Nakami Chi Group Ministries International, had been avoiding the service of the indictment when Scottsdale police picked him up, Andrea Esquer, spokeswoman for the Arizona Attorney General’s Office said. Edward Purvis, 38, is also indicted in the case and he is awaiting trial. The indictment alleges Purvis and Wolfe got former Chandler officer Bradley Forward to obtain a file on an investigation into the non-profit. Forward has since resigned and was charged, but his criminal case has been sealed by the court.
