Two men have been sent to federal prison for growing marijuana in the Maple Springs Draw area of the Tonto National Forest last year.Alejandro Mendoza-Angiano, 20, of Mexico, was sentenced to 17 years in prison on Monday for cultivating more than 1,000 marijuana plants on federal land, and for assaulting a United States Forestry Service Officer with a firearm.On October 22, Mendoza-Angiano used an assault rifle to threaten a forest service officer who was investigating his crop, according to the United States Attorney
