Higley Road on a county island near Loop 202. It took one hour to get the fire under control. No one was injured; however the mobile home, two other trailers and some sheds were destroyed as firefighters were forced to take a defensive stance due to the explosions and flying debris, said Rural/Metro Fire Department spokeswoman Alison Cooper. The fire is still under investigation and officials don’t know the cause of the blaze that started in the mobile home. The structures were a total loss. An adult staying in the mobile home and another adult and child living in the fifth wheel were left without a home, Cooper said. The American Red Cross helped those individuals with food, clothing and other essentials. The fire had spread from the mobile home to the fifth-wheel trailer, to a recreational trailer and some sheds that stored propane and acetylene tanks. There was also ammunition in the area, Cooper said.
